What are you doing New Year's Eve?

We're probably staying in this year to welcome 2014!
We'll have our traditional fondue night and watch the ball drop...maybe go to Central Park to see the fireworks.

To set the mood we made a little star garland by punching stars out of metallic paint swatches from Home Depot.  Then hot glued our stars onto some floral wire.

We made glittery votives by using some Mod Podge and silver glitter.

We like how it's kinda messy and explosive!

Here's to new beginnings and new adventures.
Happy New Year!

Put some records on while I pour.

This tasty drink not only looks festive, but it has all the holiday flavors we crave!

Say, what's in this drink?
-Sage
-Cranberries
-Cranberry Juice
-Whiskey
-Ice

Muddle a small handful of fresh sage and cranberries in your glass.
Add whiskey, cranberry juice, and ice.
Shake or stir!

Maybe just a half a drink more!

Lumberjack Garland.

We LOVE our Christmas garland!

We added snowflakes, berries, pinecones, yarn balls and of course lumberjack plaid Christmas ribbon!

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style.

There's nothing more magical than Christmas in New York City!

We wanted to add our own city spin to those trendy popular mason jar snow globes.

We used NYC souvenirs from Times Square and added glitter for some Christmas sparkle.

The snow covered ground is Epsom salt!

Lovely Lady Liberty.

New York state of mind!

It's Christmas time in the city!

Popsicle stick snowflakes!

They took a long time to put together, but it was worth it!

All it really is, is gluing popsicle sticks together...the hard and time consuming part is keeping everything symmetrical.

Using a hot glue gun would have been quicker, but Tacky Glue gave us more time to fiddle with the straightness.

We thought about painting our snowflakes, but we ended up really liking them natural.

We think they're a great addition to our Lumberjack Christmas!

Popsicle stick snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes.

Washi tape clothespin clothesline Christmas card yarn garland.

We love these vintage Christmas cards and we knew we wanted to display them this year!
So, why not a washi tape clothespin clothesline Christmas card yarn garland!?

Greeting cards have all been sent...

Bundled Bottle Cap Snowmen!

We've been saving up our beer bottle caps for these special little guys!

Although these are pretty simple, it was kind of a lengthy process.
The bottle caps needed at least 3 or 4 coats of white acrylic paint.
Once the bottle caps were dry, we drew on the eyes, mouths and buttons using a Sharpie.

Out of orange construction paper, we cut and glued on the noses.
We used a hot glue gun to build our snowmen.
For a little sparkle, we added glitter using Mod Podge.
See, we told you it was lengthy!

We accessorized our snowmen with felt, paper, buttons and pom-poms.
We think they look so cute!
What should we name em?!?

Plaid Tidings!

This year wanted to incorporate some Lumberjack plaid into our Christmas decor.

Rather than buying expensive plaid fabric we bought boxers that were on sale!

We cut and glued the plaid tightly around paper cones from Michael's.
We tried to keep it as neat as possible...thankfully, the plaid is very forgiving.
Phew!

We paired our plaid trees with our favorite Christmas card from last year.

Our little plaid wonderland!

Washi tape reindeer.

We are seeing this wooden reindeer everywhere.
But we like our's the best! Duh!

We got all our supplies from Michaels.

We layered our favorite washi tape on the reindeer and cleaned the edges with a razor.

The most famous reindeer of all!
